Although at night these restaurants may turn into some of the hottest night clubs in Barcelona, during the day they all offer traditional, trendy Spanish and Catalan cuisine.  Enjoy a meal overlooking the beach and waterfront of Barcelona while watching the tourists and locals pass by on the boardwalk.  Most people will go to either Carpe Diem Lounge Club or Opium Mar for a meal on a special occasion, such as when parents are visiting, since prices tend to be expensive.  However, the prime location (right on the beach!) and exotic decorations make eating here a worthwhile experience.  For example, at CDLC, one can enjoy a meal from the comforts of a daybed surrounded by candles, incense and colorful canopies.  Any of the meals featuring shellfish or mariscos are some of the best in town.  I definitely recommend trying the fresh sushi or any of the tapas dishes, which are a Spanish delicacy.
