Mona Lisa Room

Atop a converted gas station lies a delightful little secret. The Mona Lisa Room is a wine bar located above Botta Boom Pizza. It’s a small but comfortable full-service bar with an extensive wine list. The cozy atmosphere makes it easy to lose track of time while you’re deep in conversation with your friends.

Thirsty Thursdays

Once you turn 21, it seems as if there is a whole new set of Wake Forest traditions. You tend to go to fewer house parties and spend more time at the bars. You can count on Thursdays to be a busy evening among the bars as Wake Forest students go and hit up the local drinking scene.

West End Opera House

It’s not Phantom of the Opera, Cats, or Rent that are causing the ruckus Thursday nights at the West End Opera House. Instead, the sources of commotion surrounding this Winston-Salem bar are the Wake Forest faithful. For Deac-Nation, Opera has become the place to see and be seen on Thursday nights after Sportsline.

West End Tap Room

This tiny, beer-and-wine-only bar in the West End often has a line out the door. The venue is currently closed for renovations and when it re-opens in early 2007 it will have a new name, and full ABC permits. Check back soon for more details.
